About Mifgash

Mifgash was founded 20 years ago, with the goal of improving and advancing the functioning of children through a variety of therapies, while placing special emphasis on individual attention to each parent and client.

Fruitful cooperation between various organizations made opening Mifgash possible. After years of operating out of a small temporary structure, in 2009 we moved into our current building, both spacious and equipped with quality therapeutic equipment. Construction was made possible through the generous assistance of Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund, which continues to support and sustain our programs and projects. We also received significant support from One Israel Fund, by a donation from Binyamin Kestenbaum, who chose to make Mifgash his bar-mitzvah project, as well as the generosity of the American-Iranian Jewish Federation of New York. In addition, Bituach Leumi, the National Insurance Institute of Israel, through their Development Fund, undertook a significant part of the construction, as did the Binyamin Regional Council.

Mifgash provides therapies authorized by the Ministry of Education for Special Education pre-schools and schools in the area, as well as therapies financed by the various HMOs, who offer substantial subsidies.

In recent years the use of expressive therapies has mushroomed in Mifgash, via movement, art, music, and animals. These therapies, which are not covered by the traditional sources, are subsidized by the "Shiloh Israel Children's Fund", which has also helped in the purchase of therapeutic equipment, and provided support for Mifgash from the beginning.

Last, but not least, and unique to our area- Mifgash offers Snoezelen, multi-sensory therapy for emotional and sensory treatment.

The Snoezelen room was built with the generous contribution of two brothers, Nissim and David Shrem, in memory of their parents
